Email Marketing & Subscriber Policy
Signup notice, sender identity, unsubscribe, suppression, postal-address, vendor, and transactional-message requirements.
1. What signup requests
Submitting the field-note form requests occasional promotional and editorial messages about botanical records, the developing catalog, and launch updates. Signup is not required to browse the site or make a future one-time purchase.
2. Campaign standards
Commercial messages must accurately identify the sender, use non-deceptive routing and subject information, disclose promotional character where required, include a valid postal address, and provide a clear working unsubscribe method.
3. Unsubscribe and suppression
Marketing opt-outs must be honored within the legally required period and should be processed promptly. Lot & Leaf must not charge, require more than the email address, or force extra steps beyond a permitted reply or single web page. A minimal suppression record may be kept to prevent accidental re-enrollment.
4. Transactional and safety messages
Order confirmations, receipts, shipping updates, security notices, support replies, legal notices, and product safety or recall messages may be sent separately from marketing where their primary purpose is transactional, relational, safety-related, or legally required.
5. Providers and responsibility
Resend currently stores and processes the field-note contact list on Lot & Leaf’s behalf. Using a provider does not transfer Lot & Leaf’s legal responsibility. Vendor settings, audience fields, unsubscribe behavior, data deletion, and access permissions require periodic review.
6. Commercial-send blocker
No promotional campaign should be sent until the operating entity and valid postal address appear in the template, unsubscribe is end-to-end tested, the suppression process works, the privacy policy contact is live, and the campaign’s claims have been approved.
